Education and experience
Dr. Coleman graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry in 2008. He went on to pursue his medical training at Des Moines University where he became a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2012.
After graduating from DMU, he completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certification at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was also a fellow at Bako Pathology Services in Alpharetta, GA. There, he received specialized training in podiatric dermatology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Coleman is active in podiatric education and research. He lectures at conferences and has published several research studies and book chapters.
He has a special interest in pediatric flatfoot deformity and frontal plane correction of bunion deformities.
Memberships and affiliations
Dr. Coleman is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Tennessee Podiatric Medical Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Hobbies and family
When not at work, Dr. Coleman enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Stefanie, and their three children. He also enjoys serving his church, playing trumpet, and working on computers.
