Amniotic Band Syndrome
Amniotic band syndrome (ABS) is an uncommon, congenital fetal abnormality that causes disfigured feet. Some researchers believe that ABS is caused by early amniotic rupture, which leads to the formation of fibrous strands that entangle limbs and appendages.
