Christopher Hendrix

Dr. Christopher Hendrix is from Memphis, Tennessee, where he graduated from Towering Oaks Baptist Academy in 1977. He continued his education at the University of Memphis and Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, obtaining a degree in Nursing in 1984.

After several years as an Operating Room nurse, he decided to return to medical school and  in 1990 he was accepted to the DesMoines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and he graduated in 1994 with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine

Dr. Hendrix then moved to New Haven Connecticut, where he completed three years of residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital, Veterans Medical Center, and New Britain General Hospital. He then stayed at these hospitals for an additional fellowship year in reconstructive foot surgery. During his fellowship year, he was awarded the prestigious Goldfarb-Riccardi Fellowship, spending two months in Italy to further enhance his surgical skills.

In 1998, Dr. Hendrix returned to his home town of Memphis to join Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics, where he worked for eight years. In 2006, he joined Mid-South Foot and Ankle Specialists.

Dr. Hendrix is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Academy of Wound Management. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the College of Certified Wound Care Specialists. His special interests are in the areas of surgical reconstruction and revision of the foot and ankle.
